Ivaylo Petev signed and was introduced as the new coach of the Polish Jagiellonia. His contract lasted until June 2021, with Petev last working in Saudi Al-Qadizia, but left in March.
The Bulgarian was selected in front of the other two candidates Radoslav Latal and Marcin Boros. At the moment Jagelonia holds the ninth position in the championship with an asset of 29 points.
“Our new coach has closely watched the work of coaches such as Josep Guardiola, Unai Emery and Mauricio Pochettino and will now try to transfer his knowledge and experience to his work in Jagiellonia,” the club wrote on its official website.
